-Using the SimSynth

-You can use the SimSynth to make a bassline or melody for your drum loop. To open the SimSynth go to Channels - Add One - SimSynth.

- On the top right hand corner there are two arrows. Click on these arrows to cycle through the different sounds. You can use your keyboard to preview the sound by pushing CRTL and T at the same time. Press the Q button on your keyboard to preview sound. You can also press other characters on your keyboard to get different notes like a musical keyboard.

-Notice the 3 OSC Banks on the left. Each of these banks can be turned on/off by making it light orange, and gray being off. These banks add texture/effects to the currently selected sound sample.

-The banks can be edited many different ways so use your imagination. For example, the five symbols change the texture of the sound, and the Warm button adds a warm reverb. The Ring 1x2 button will add a delay/echo to the sound effect, and you can select whether to have a single or double delay.

-There’s a lot more that can be edited to create a new sound, so I won’t go too far into detail. However, you can also try to change the amount of the effect on the sound by turning the LVL knob down. This helps especially when the sound is too loud and starts peaking.
