-So you got a nice drum loop and melody going and now you want to save it with a chorus/verse and breakdowns. Before you bring up the Playlist(F5) make sure you’ve got all your patterns set up. For example put your chorus in one bank and your verse in another. - Press F5 to bring up the Playlist. Notice the Patterns and numbers to the left. The numbers above the graph represent musical bars. By placing a block in the grid of the Pattern, you’re adding to your song whatever you’ve composed for that pattern. When I click on Pattern 2, it highlights the grid straight across. If I placed blocks straight across until the 31’st bar, and Pattern 2 is a drum loop, then I would get 30 bars of my drum loop. |

-Let’s say for example you’ve got the verse part on Bank 1, and the chorus on Bank 2. You also may have a breakdown between the chorus/verse on Bank 3 and an intro on Bank 4. You decided you want three 16 bar verses and three 8 bar chorus’. Next to Pattern 4(intro) left click on the graph to place your first block. Next to Pattern 1, following the block of Pattern 2, left click to make enough blocks for your 16 bar verse. Leave 4 bars (or however many you need) open for your breakdown (Pattern 4). Following your last Pattern 1 block, left click to insert your 8 bar chorus. Remember the numbers on the top of the graph represent musical bars. Keep repeating until you’ve got 3 verses and 3 chorus, and your playlist should look like this… |

-You don’t have to always use this formula to mix down your beats. You can break down your patterns further such as having your snare and kick , percussion, one instrument loop etc on their own individual pattern channel. |
